I have said many times Katie O”Donnell is the greatest American Hockey player ever!!! Today she put the undefeated Terrapins on her back scoring 3 goals and 2 assists, as the Lady Terps held off probably their toughest opponent of the year. Leading 4-1 early in the 2nd half, Princeton stormed back for 3 quick goals tieing the game at 4. But the Terps responded as Champs do scoring 3 more times.

The top-ranked Maryland field hockey team was named the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament Tuesday night. The undefeated Terrapins, who are returning national champions, will begin their road to defending their title at home Saturday at 11 a.m. against the 16-seed American.  Maryland will also host Connecticut and Drexel who will play each other Saturday at 2 p.m. The winners of the two games will face each other Sunday at 2 p.m.
