Maryland placed four players on the 2009 USILA Men’s Lacrosse All-America teams, which were announced Thursday. Sophomores Ryan Young and Max Schmidt earned second and third team honors, respectively, while sophomore Grant Catalino and senior Dan Groot were honorable mention selections.
Young earns his first All-America honor and was the catalyst of the Maryland offense throughout the 2009 season. The attackman, who is a native of Massapequa, N.Y., finished the season second on the team in points with 40 on 19 goals and 21 … Read More »
As soon as I heard Syracuse goalie Galloway was ill and the backup goalie was replacing him, I sensed the Terps were in trouble. Why? Sometimes when a kid is thrown into a brutal situation he either rises to the occasion or his team gets so pumped up to save the unknwon.

Bryn Holmes wins 11 of 13 faceoffs and again the Terrapins thoroughly dominate Air Force in capturing the Wounded warrior Project Title. Watching the game over a special network, it seemed like the Terps had the ball the entire final 3 quarters. The Terrapins return home 2-0 and face Georgetown next Saturday at 1PM. Some observations on the game.
